"I can do all things through Christ that strengtheneth me." - Philippians 4:13
The great Apostle Paul in this text, reveals to us the beauty of an acceptable sacrifice. While under house arrest, guarded by Roman soldiers, he declares, "I can do all things......" What exactly is Paul saying to the saints at Philippi? Is he saying, the believer can accomplish anything he or she desires with the help of Christ? Certainly not! By this time in this great Apostles ministry, he had experienced both abundance and lack. Through these experiences the Lord taught him, how to minister with both plenty and limited resources.
Paul is saying to the church I've learned how to adapt in ministry while remaining accountable and faithful to God's call on my life. "All things...." refers to economic fluctuations. Jesus Christ empowers the believer to live in God's Will, in-spite of economic fluctuations. Paul was strong when he was weak; independent when he was dependent. Such is the life of the disciple. Please allow this to be your testimony! For with the help of Christ, you to can adapt an remain faithful to the God's assignment for your life.
