Don’t worry about the Ungodly

“Do not fret because of evildoers, Nor be envious of the workers of iniquity. For they shall soon be cut down like the grass, And wither as the green herb." Psalm 37:1-2

It is a common thing for God's children to be affected by the behavior of the wicked. But King David charges us not to "fret", for the evildoers time is short. “To fret is to worry, to have the heart–burn, to fume, to become vexed. Nature is very apt to kindle a fire of jealousy when it sees law–breakers riding on horses, and obedient subjects walking in the mire.” (Spurgeon) So, be of good cheer, for God will never forsake the righteous or allow His children to beg bread.
