“Where there is no vision, the people perish: but he that keepeth the law, happy is he.”
What is vision? Vision is simply God’s perfect plan for your life. It is simply God’s Will concerning you. Two spiritual components must be at work in order for vision to be fulfilled. These components are Faith and Works! As one writer stated,”a vision without action is a daydream and action without vision is a nightmare.” Helen Keller was born with sight, but became blind as a young child. Yet she had vision. A reporter asked Miss Keller, “Is there anything worse than losing your sight?” “Yes,” she said, “It is to have sight but no vision.” Has God given you a vision for your life this year? If so, ask God to order your steps to walk in His perfect plan for your life. Allow the Holy Spirit to give you goals that are spiritual, relational, intellectual, physical, and financial. Then pray over these and ask God’s will to be done in each one. I don’t want to be a Christian without vision. I don’t want you to be one, either. Notice in this text, the Christian with vision is obedient to God’s Word and will experience divine happiness. Are you truly happy with your life? Do you have vision? For without vision, the people perish. Pray and seek the Lord’s face as you ponder the future.
