What’s On Your Mind? Psalms 1:2

2 " Instead, his delight is in the Lord’s instruction, and he meditates on it day and night." (ChristianStandardBible)

What have you been thinking about lately? Who have you been thinking about lately? How long do you ponder it or them in a days time? In more layman terms, “what’s on your mind?” I have discovered that the mind is the battlefield between good and evil thoughts and whatever or whoever captures the mind; captures the man. David here gives a divine prescription to happiness in Christ.

The “happy” person spends his time meditating on God’s Word. Reading reaps the wheat, meditation threshes it, grinds it, and makes it into bread. Reading is like the ox feeding; meditation is it digesting when chewing the cud. It is not only reading that does us good but the soul inwardly feeding on it and digesting it. People must have some delight, some supreme pleasure. A person’s heart was never meant to be a vacuum. If not filled with the best things, it will be filled with the unworthy and fruitless. The true Christian has his holy delights, and chief among them is the Word of God. The first step to biblical prosperity is taking pleasure in and meditating on the Promises of God. Will you begin today, to allow the promises of God to saturate your heart? Your prosperity is yoked to your delights and your meditation. Get God in your mind!
